Oh blog, how for art thou?

So I've neglected to blog. It's been on my mind for a while but I just couldn't make it a regular thing and get it done.  For most of the 4 or 5 people that may read this blog, you already know that I only have 2 weeks of work left. I quit my job. It's been hard explaining to people what exactly I'm going to do without sounding like a complete asshole. Really, I'm not going to work. By choice. Because I don't have to. There I said it. Now I really feel like an ass. I would like to just tell people that I'm going to walk the earth, like Caine in Kung-Fu. My wife says I just need to tell people she's done sharing me, because really I'm going to be at home doing chores.

We went to Astoria over Memorial Day weekend. I recommend Astoria as a place to take a holiday. Speaking of holiday, there's a great Holiday Inn Express under the bridge and right on the river. There is also a cool old trolley that you can ride along the waterfront. From Astoria you can take short trips along the northern Oregon Coast and the southern Washington Coast. Astoria has a great Co-0p grocery and an awesome Cafe/Bakery (Blue Scorcher Cafe) that makes vegan/vegetarian food.
